Strawberry Stuffed French Toast

INGREDIENTS

  • 32 slices firm country white bread

Batter

  • 18 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup honey

  • 3/4 cup whole milk

  • 1 tbsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Filling

  • 2 lbs. cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 2 lbs. fresh strawberries, sliced thin

DIRECTIONS

Combine batter ingredients in bowl and whisk until well combined.

Combine cream cheese and honey in mixer with a paddle attachment and beat until smooth.

Divide 1/4 cup of cream cheese mixture between two slices of bread; layer one piece with strawberries and top with other piece.

Press together lightly.

Repeat until all sandwiches are built.

Dip sandwich into batter and be sure to completely coat all sides; drain excess batter and place onto a lightly greased preheated griddle.

Allow to brown, and flip until both sides are nicely browned.

Serve with tabletop honey bear for drizzling, or drizzle with honey before serving.
