Honey Lemon Cake
INGREDIENTS
Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup honey
2 eggs
2 cups cake flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup milk
Frosting
One 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 1/2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
Cake
Cream butter and honey together.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with lemon juice and milk.
Bake in two greased and floured 8" pans at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Frosting
Blend cream cheese and honey.
Add lemon juice and sugar and beat.
Spread on cooled honey lemon cake.
